IT-8 Calibration By means of an IT-8 target the scanner can be colour calibrated. The target is a slide with many small colour fields corresponding certain colours. For every colour field a reference colour value is saved in a file. By comparing these reference values with the scanned actual colour values it is possible to exactly colour calibrate the scanner. Thus an individual colour profile for the used scanner is generated which can be saved as ICC profile. This IT-8 calibration enables real true colour scanning.
