While photography requires flash lights, filming needs continuous lighting. Virtually no digital photo camera comes without integrated flash light, but integrated video lights in camcorders are by no means a matter of course.

 

And even if there is a mini light integrated in a camcorder, its light often is not adequate to sufficiently illuminate the setting.
