The Nikon Super Coolscan 5000 provides professional scans with 35mm and APS films. 4000 ppi resolution and a density range of 4,8 speak for themselves. For people who emphasise highest image quality and want to scan large quantities of 35mm films the LS-5000 is just right. The Nikon Super Coolscan 5000 currently is the top-of-the-line 35mm film scanner. We recommend to operate a professional scanner like the Nikon 5000 with the professional scan software SilverFast Ai. With the SilverFast IT-8 colour calibration you can individually colour calibrate your scanner and work in a professional colour management process. Thereby you increase image quality and you don't have to spend a lot of time for editing the images with an image editing software. That's why we offer the Nikon 5000 in combination with the SilverFast scan software in a low-priced bundle. Specifications (manufacturer's data)

For scanning single, loose positives or negatives and for scanning curled or curved film strips the strip film holder FH-3 is indispensable. With the APS film adaptor IA-20(S) you can scan whole APS film rolls at once. Scanning APS films can not be easier.
You can scan up to 78 mounted slides at once in batch mode with this automatic slide feeder. It is the ideal accessory for people who want to digitise large amounts of mounted slides in a comfortable and quick way.
With the roll film adaptor SA-30 you can scan whole 35mm film rolls with up to 40 frames length at once. In doing so you can avoid the partially risky trimming of the film roll.
When working with film strips it can often happen that you accidentally touch the emulsion side of the film. The damage often is irreparable. You can avoid damages to the film material and comfortably insert film strips into the scanner or film holder by wearing fine cotton gloves.
Anti-dust spray is used to clean film material - no matter if it's mounted slides or film strips - by removing dust and fluffs with a flimsy current of air without touching the film material at all. There is no better, more comfortable and more efficient way to clean your film material.
For working with single negatives or positives we highly recommend using tweezers, because otherwise you run the risk of touching and damaging the film. | |
