This is the fifth generation Nikon Coolscan. Compared to its predecessor the Nikon Coolscan V ED strongly gained resolution. Just like its bigger brother the Coolscan V now features 4000 ppi resolution, too. The Nikon Coolscan V ED distinguishes itself through its high resolution, its very high image quality and its high density range.

The very high image quality of the Nikon Coolscan V ED can even be increased by operating the scanner with the scan software SilverFast. Due to better image processing algorithms and IT-8 colour calibration you can get real colours based on a real colour management process when operating the scanner with SilverFast. Because the combination Nikon Coolscan V with SilverFast Ai IT-8 is an optimum, recommendable configuration, we offer these two products as a low priced bundle.

Strip film holder FH-3

For scanning single, loose positives or negatives and for scanning curled or curved film strips the strip film holder FH-3 is indispensable.

APS film adaptor IA-20(S)

With the APS film adaptor IA-20(S) you can scan whole APS film rolls at once. Scanning APS films can not be easier.

Cotton gloves

When working with film strips it can often happen that you accidentally touch the emulsion side of the film. The damage often is irreparable. You can avoid damages to the film material and comfortably insert film strips into the scanner or film holder by wearing fine cotton gloves.

Anti-dust spray

Anti-dust spray is used to clean film material - no matter if it's mounted slides or film strips - by removing dust and fluffs with a flimsy current of air without touching the film material at all. There is no better, more comfortable and more efficient way to clean your film material.

Pro tweezers of finest steal

For working with single negatives or positives we highly recommend using tweezers, because otherwise you run the risk of touching and damaging the film.
