Film scannersFilm scanners are scanners which are specialized in digitising film material (positive or negative). While a flat bed scanner illuminates the applied image from below with a light source (reflective originals) a film scanner irradiates an image like a slide projector. Film scanners have very high scan resolutions because a large image should be generated out of a tiny positive or negative. Most film scanners offered here are designed for 35mm and APS films. With Nikon's top-of-the-line model medium format films can be scanned as well. We only offer high-quality film scanners for people who emphasise high image quality. Absolute low-cost scanners mostly have strong shortcomings with image quality wherefore we do not offer them. After all we want you to achieve satisfying output with your new film scanner.
