By the turn of the year 2008/2009 LaserSoft finally released an IT-8 target on Kodachrome film. Now it is possible to calibrate your scanner for Kodachrome films by means of the SilverFast software. SilverFast can generate and manage multiple IT-8 profiles. Thus you can generate and save for example a profile for Kodak films and one for Kodachrome films. With a simple dialogue box you can choose the profile to be used. We recommend to clean the target before calibration with pressurised air or with an anti static brush. LaserSoft Imaging stands for very high quality IT-8 targets of their own production. The Kodachrome IT-8 target is available as a mounted 35mm slide (mount size 5x5 cm). It can be used for colour calibration of film scanners, medium format scanners and flat bed scanners with transparency unit.
