Every digital camera has certain tolerances conditional of manufacturing, affecting colour accuracy. Every image file contains colour aberration of the employed digital camera. By means of these targets it is possible to calibrate a digital camera and so measure and compensate its colour aberration. Thus the aberration needn't be corrected in hundrets or thousands of images individually, but it is corrected virtually at the source. For calibrating a digital camera you need special software like SilverFast DCPro. First you photograph the target with the camera you want to calibrate and then load the image file to SilverFast DCPro for processing. SilverFast DCPro knows the reference colours of the target and compares them with the actual colours of the image file. From this difference the software generates an ICC profile which from now on will be used for automatic colour correction. This digital camera target is the Studio Target sized 17 x 21 cm. Also available is a Pocket Target by Lasersoft sized 10 x 13 cm. Package contents:
